Tentative Minutes from the 2009 Annual Meeting (tentative until reviewed at the 2010 Annual Meeting)
The Annual Meeting of New England Swimming will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at the Wellesley Community Center, Wellesley, MA. Please encourage your team to be well represented. Each team has a vote and each Board Member has one vote. There are also several at-large delegates, appointed by the Chairman with the approval of the Board. Each at-large delegate has a vote. All members of the New England Community are encouraged to attend even if they do not have a vote.
ANNUAL MEETING
8:30: Coffee and Registration
9:00: General Meeting, Presentation of Budget [current year actual budget], Election
of Officers, Presentation of Committee Reports. If
you have an item to discuss at the general meeting, please contact
the New
England Office (781-449-0270 or office@neswim.com).
10:30: Meet Manager's Meeting. Teams running a meet
(calendar meet or invitational meet) or planning to run a meet
during the next year are required to send a
representative to the Meet Manager's Meeting. If a team has never run a meet, the team should send two representatives. So that we can have enough materials, please notify
the New England Office (office@neswim.com) if your team
is going to attend. (Mariella Allard) New this year: The New England Swimming Meet Manager’s Policies are located on the New England Web Site (www.neswim.com). On the left click on “Forms and Policies” and then find the New England Swimming Policies and Procedures Handbook. Before the meeting, please read Section II: Swim Meet Policies and Procedures (pages 6-42). Come to the meeting with your questions, comments, etc.
10:30: Officials Meeting. A general meeting for all officials which will count as a recertification clinic for those that need it. Referees and Facilitators are especially encouraged to attend. If you have any questions, please contact Bob Menck (rmenck@ne.rr.com).
10:30: Coaches' Meeting and election of new Junior Representative. If
you have items to discuss or are interested in running for the
new Junior Representative, contact Jamie Bloom (jbloom@westfieldymca.org).
Please put this meeting on your calendar and keep the day free
for coaches and parents to attend the meeting.
SLATE OF OFFICERS
The Slate of Officers is posted.
This Slate of Officers will be elected at the Annual Meeting. Nominations from the floor will be accepted. The Coaches will elect their representative at the Coaches Meeting following the Annual Meeting.

From Route 128 take Route 16 west. The driveway to the Wellesley Community Center is a right turn just before the intersection of Route 9. Note that the exit from Route 9 west to Route 16 is closed due to construction.
From the west, take Route 9 east. Exit at Wellesley Hills, Route
16. At the lights at the end of the ramp, turn left, cross back
over Route 9 and turn left into the driveway which is just beyond
the ramp to Route 9.
