New England Swimming Annual Meeting

Minutes from the 2005 Annual Meeting (Approved at the 2006 Annual Meeting, posted 5/05/07)

The Annual Meeting of New England Swimming will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2005 at the Wellesley Community Center, Wellesley, MA. Please encourage your team to be well represented. Each team has one vote and each Board Member has one vote. There are also several At-Large delegates, appointed by the Chairman with the approval of the Board. Each At-Large delegate has one vote. All members of the New England Community are encouraged to attend even if they do not have a vote.

ANNUAL MEETING

9:00: Coffee and Registration

9:30: General Meeting, Budget, Election of Officers. If you have an item to discuss at the general meeting, please contact the New England Office (781-449-0270 or office@neswim.com).

11:00: Meet Manager's Meeting. Teams running a meet (calendar meet or invitational meet) or planning to run a meet during the next year are required to send a representative to the Meet Manager's Meeting. If your team attended the meeting in October, your attendance does not carry over to this year. So that we can have enough materials, please notify the New England Office (office@neswim.com) if your team is going to attend. (Mariella Allard)

11:00: Officials Meeting. A meeting and clinic for referees will be held. All Referees, especially those that have
not been to a clinic during the past two years are encouraged to attend. If you have any questions, please contact Dave LeBlanc (daleblanc9@aol.com) or Scott Doty (csdoty@verizon.net).

11:00: Coaches' Meeting and election of new Junior Representative. If you have items to discuss or are interested in running for the new Junior Representative, contact Michelle Bernal (BGSCswimming@yahoo.com). [ Agenda ]

2:00 (or as soon as the Coaches' Meeting has finished): Senior Committee meeting and Age Group Committee meeting.

Please put this meeting on your calendar and keep the day free for coaches and parents to attend the meeting.

SLATE OF OFFICERS

The Slate of Officers is posted.

This Slate of Officers will be elected at the Annual Meeting. Nominations from the floor will be accepted. The Coaches will elect their representative at the Coaches Meeting following the Annual Meeting.

DIRECTIONS TO THE WELLESLEY COMMUNITY CENTER
219 Washington Street (Route 16), Wellesley, MA.

From Route 128 take Route 9 west. After the second set of lights, turn right at the blinker (the sign says Route 16). At the light at the end of the ramp, stay to the right and cross Route 16 into the parking lot. Be careful, cars on Route 16 are not necessarily expecting you!

From the west, take Route 9 east. Exit at Wellesley Hills, Route 16. At the lights at the end of the ramp, turn left, cross back over Route 9 and turn left into the driveway which is just beyond the ramp to Route 9.
