A Club Leadership and Business Management School (CLBMS) will be held at the Wellesley Community Center, Wellesley, MA on Saturday, March 7, 2009 from 9 am to 4 pm.  The course will be led by Peter Clark, USA Swimming Sport Development Consultant for the Eastern Zone.  The course provides club coaches and board members with the most current information and trends in club governance and leadership.  It delineates various organizational types for swim teams and details best business and management practices.

The course is required of all “new” clubs within a year of their formation.  It is an excellent opportunity for new and established clubs to review and acquire governance tools.  Coaches who are considering starting a new club are also urged to attend.  You will gain great information about starting a new club and also fulfill this requirement.

Space is limited and reservations are required.  Clubs attending should send two people—the head coach and the president of the board.  Coffee, juice, and bagels will be served in the morning and water and soda will be available during the day.  Please bring a luch with you.  The cost is $25 per team.  If you have any questions, please contact the New England Office (781-449-0270 or office@newswim.com).
