FACILITY
McDermott Pool, Sandy Lane, Warwick, Rhode Island is a 50-meter 6 lane covered
pool with non-turbulent lane lines, Colorado Timing System and touch pads,
limited interior seating but with access to outdoor patios spaces. McDermott Pool has not been certified in accordance with USA Swimming Policy 104.2.2C(4). Failure to abide
by rules defined in this notice, posted at the facility or determined by the
Meet Referee or Meet Director may result in ejection from the facility.
FORMAT
The meet will be swum as timed-finals.
Each session will be seeded by computer based on positive check-in at
the beginning of each session. Coaches
will receive a positive check-in sheet before each session, which must be
returned no later than 30 minutes before the beginning of the session. Heat sheets will be posted around the pool
deck. Coaches will be able to pick up
heat sheets for each event at the control office.
ELIGIBILITY
All contestants must be 2009 USA Swimming registered athletes. All swimmers must be registered before the
entry is submitted. Teams that enter
unregistered swimmers will be subject to a fine of $100 per unregistered
swimmer.
ENTRY INFORMATION
Entries must be submitted to Christie Batchelor and
will not be accepted any earlier than Thursday, May 7, 2009 or
any later than Monday, May 18, 2009. All entries arriving on or
before May 7 will be counted as arriving on May 7. If a swimmer does not have an official time
for a particular event, a coach’s time must be used instead. No deck entries will be accepted. No refunds will be given for entries that are
accepted, or for entries that are rejected due to improper entry. Any swimmer who is entered with incorrect
swimmer information, or an incorrect or no ID, or is unregistered, will be
scratched from the meet until corrections are made per the
Electronic Entries: Electronic entries (such as from Hy-Tek Team Manager or other team management software) that are in CL2 or SD3/SDIF format may be emailed as an attachment to the entry chairperson at abfswimsccc@yahoo.com. Please check that your team name, address, and contact information are listed correctly in this file. For email entries, payment and hardcopy of the entry (including signed entry cover page and waiver) must be received within four (4) days, excluding Sundays and holidays, of receipt of the email entry. If payment is received within four (4) days, excluding Sundays and holidays, of the email entry, the email receipt date will be considered the date of entry. If payment is received more than four (4) days, excluding Sundays and holidays, after the email entry, the payment receipt date will be considered the date of entry.
Entry Limits: No swimmer may enter more than 5 individual events per day. Open age groups will swim in the morning sessions while 12&under age groups will swim in the afternoon session. All age groups will swim in combined heats separated only by gender, but awards will only be given to 10 & under and 11-12.
Entry Times: All entry times must be submitted in meters. The meet will be seeded in meter times
converted times will be accepted. NT or "no time" entries
are not allowed.
Entry Fees: : The entry fee is $4.00 per individual event, and $5.00 for Distance events 400IM and 400FR when submitting entry in with a standard in CL2 or SD3/SDIF data file as defined by US Swimming. In accordance with the entry rules specified by New England Swimming, if an entry is not submitted via e-mail in a standard CL2 or SD3/SDIF format, the entry fee is an additional $0.50 per individual entry (e.g. $4.50 per event). The swimmer participation fee is $8.00 per swimmer. Please mail the hard copy of your entry to:

PROCEDURES FOR CUTTING THE
MEET
Entry cuts, if necessary, will be made by the date of receipt. Teams will be notified that they have been
accepted or cut from the meet within seven days of receipt of entry. If the meet becomes oversubscribed, a random
selection of those entries received on the date the meet becomes oversubscribed
will be conducted in accordance with New England Swimming guidelines. Teams that are cut from the meet will have
their entry fee returned within four days of being cut. Bluefish Swim Club
will limit the number of swims in the meet. Bluefish Swim Club will reserve 75%
for its own team and any other teams (
RULES
2009 USA Swimming rules will govern all competition. Decisions by the meet referee will be final
unless a written protest is lodged within 30 minutes of the heat swum.
OFFICIALS AND TIMERS
All teams are asked to volunteer an appropriate share of officials. Please include with your entry a list of your
team’s eligible officials, their phone numbers, and the session(s) they are
available to work. The Referee for this meet will be Paul Maker, and officials

meet.
SAFETY
AND IMPORTANT RULES TO NOTE
No smoking is permitted inside the building or patio areas. The
Bluefish Swim CLUB, the Bluefish Booster Club, and the CITY OF
AWARDS
Ribbons for 1st through 6th will be given in individual
event in the 10 & Under and 11-12 only.
There will be no
ADMISSION
Admission: $1.00 per session, Programs: $4.00 for each session, Heat Sheets: $1
w/ proof of purchase of Program.
CONCESSIONS & VENDOR
Refreshments will be available. A swimming equipment vendor will be selling
suits, goggles, and other accessories.
