INFORMATION: The IMX Meet is a motivational program whereby swimmers will be scored and ranked locally and nationally on their performance in a combination of five 12 & Under and five 13 & Over events. The purpose of the program is to promote versatility in age group swimming while advocating greater participation and development across a range of events that are integral to long term success in swimming.

MEET DESCRIPTION: Swimmers will participate in a designated combination of five events and, based on the power points scored for each of those swims, earn a combined score that will be called the IMX Score. These combined scores will be ranked by single ages with rankings and recognition available on the USA Swimming website.

MEET FORMAT: The meet will be swum as timed-finals.  Each session will be seeded by computer based on positive check-in at the beginning of each session.  Coaches will receive a positive check-in sheet before each session, which must be returned no later than 30 minutes before the beginning of the session.  Heat sheets will be posted around the pool deck.  Coaches will be able to pick up heat sheets for each event at the control desk.

SITE: The Mayers Natatorium is a 6-lane, 25-yard pool with seven and one half foot-wide lanes and non-turbulent lane lines.  Fully-automatic Colorado Time Systems electronic timing with touchpad’s at the finish end of the pool with single-line electronic display.  There are no touchpad’s at the turn end of the pool.  Attached to the main pool is a diving well area that is available for warm-up and warm down, approximately 40x20 feet in size.  The finish end of the pool is 12 feet deep; the turn end of the pool is 4 ½ feet deep.  Spectator seating for 300.  The pool is located inside Seekonk High School, 261 Arcade Avenue, Seekonk MA 02771.  The pool entrance is located to the right of the schools main entrance.  Directions may be found later in this document.

SCORING:    IMX Score: Using Hy-Tek’s Single-Year Age Group Power Points, all swimmers earn an “IMX Score” based on the cumulative point total of the combination of IMX events for their age level. The overall IMX Score, as well as the swimmer’s current best score for each IMX event, appears on the athlete’s My USA Swimming page for each season. As times in these events improve, the swimmer’s IMX score is automatically updated. In order to receive an IMX score, a swimmer must legally swim each IMX event for their age level in a sanctioned meet at least once during the season.

Hy-Tek Single-Year Age Group Power Points: Rankings in the IMX program will be based on power points. Working in collaboration with USA Swimming, Hy-Tek has developed a power point system for each age level that allows for comparison of performances across strokes, distances and events, as well as between age groups. Please visit the USA Swimming website for the Power Points page and the IMX & Power Point Calculator.
