Site: Springfield College, Alden St., Springfield, Mass.
Facility: 6 lane, 50 meter pool, with non-turbulent lane lines. Plenty of seating and parking next to the building. Bring lawn chairs as there is a large grassy area out front of the building.
Timing: Electronic timing – Colorado timing system.
Entries: Entries must be completed and received by Thursday, June 20, 2001. ** A swimmer may swim five events per session. Individual events are $3.50 and $4.00 if not using Hy-tek.
Entries should be submitted to J.P. Galli at james.galli@verizon.net using the HY-TEK program., A hard copy of the entry with entry fees should be sent to: Isabelle Fraser, 125 Franklin Rd., Longmeadow, Mass. 01106. Entries will not be considered received until the entry fees are received. Checks should be made out to PVAC. Completed forms should be mailed to: Pioneer Valley Aquatic Club, c/o Isabelle Fraser, 125 Franklin Rd., Longmeadow, Ma. 01106. Seed times should be in long course meters.
Please make sure each hard copy has an e-mail address on it. This will be where any information will be sent if needed.
Eligibility: All swimmers must be 2002 registered swimmers with United States Swimming, New England swimmers may register with Mary Riddell, 20 Cleveland Rd., Needham, MA 02492.
This meet will be limited to New England Swimmers only.
Cuts: Cuts will be made by date of receipt of hard copy and entry fees. Sessions will be limited to four hours, on Saturday. Both Sat. & Sunday we have to be out of the pool for an hour from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. the 8 & Under session should not take four hours. On Sunday each session will be about three hours. Entries received before Thursday, June 13, 2002, will be considered received on Thursday, June 13, 2002.
Awards: Ribbons will be awarded for the first six places.
There will be no scoring.
Admission: $1.00 per day – Programs - $2.00 per session
Refreshments: The Springfield College will have set up a concession stand.
Swim Supplies will be available.
Rules: 2002 US Swimming rules will govern all competition and decisions by the referee will be final unless a written protest is lodged within 30 minutes of the swim heat being protested.
Special Instructions: Swimmers are to abide by the directions of the marshals. No swimmer is allowed to enter the pool or participate in warm ups until under the direct supervision of a USA registered coach. All swimmers must enter the pool, feet first, in the shallow end. No diving or racing starts are permitted unless your full warm up lane is in agreement.
