Date: Saturday & Sunday, June 23 & 24, 2001.

Time: Morning session; Warm-up 7:00 a.m., Meet start 8:00 a.m. (Open event swimmers) Afternoon session; Warm-up 12:45 p.m., Meet start 2:00 p.m.(10 & U & 11-12)

Facilities: McDermott Swim Center, Sandy Lane, Warwick, RI . 6 Lane 50 meter pool, non-turbulent lane lines, Colorado timing system. Outdoor bull pen; limited spectator seating capacity (less than 200); limited deck area.

Entry Information: Entry forms must be completed and returned by Firday, June 8, 2001. NT will not be accepted for a "time", swimmers may swim in 5 events per day. We will be using LSA software to run the meet so you can send a disk (Hy-tek or LSA) or regular entry, in meter time, and e-mail to rmooney469@aol.com or US mail with your entry form and check to:

Entry Fees: $ 2.50 per individual event. Entry fees must accompany all entries (e-mail entries must send check within 5 working days of e-mail entry) and are not refundable unless meet is over subscribed.

Procedure For Cutting Meet: Four hour time limit will dictate cuts. Entries will be cut by date entry is received if the meet is over-subscribed. (and/or seed time in distance events) Entry forms must be accurate, legible and complete. Entries cannot be changed after they have been submitted. Telephone entries will not be accepted.

Format : This is a Specialty meet and will include 10 & under, 11-12 and open age groups. A bull pen will be used with deck seeding based on entry times. All events are timed finals.

Admission: $1.00 per session. Programs $2.00 per session.

Refreshments: Full concession for breakfast & lunch will be provided for all sessions.

Awards: Ribbons will be awarded to the top 6 male & female swimmers in each for 12 & under age groups only.

Directions Route 95 South to Airport exit in Warwick, RI. Take Route 1 South exit off Airport exit roadway. Follow Route 1 South approximately ¾ Mile, DO NOT take the by-pass roadway, but bear right up a slight hill to the red light. Take a left at this light (Main Avenue). Follow Main avenue to 3 red lights to Industrial Road; take right at Strawberry Field Road. Follow Strawberry Field Road to end (red light). Take left onto Sandy lane. MeDermott Pool is on left at rear of a large parking lot and is part of Mickey Stevens Athletic Complex.

Eligibility: All swimmers must be 2000-2001 USS registered athletes. New England swimmers may register (for USS) with Mary Riddell, 20 Cleveland Road, Needham, MA. 02192.

Rules: 2000-2001 US Swimming Rules will govern all competition and decisions by the meet referee will be final. A written protest may be lodged provided that it is presented within 30 minutes of the heat being protested.

Disabled swimmer forms are required by US Swimming and are available from the New England Swimming Office.

Special Instructions: There will be ABSOLUTELY no diving in any part of the pool during warm-ups, except in specially designated sprint lanes.

Officials: Clubs who have certified officials who would like to officiate should contact the meet director.

Timers: Please instruct your parents that wish to time at the meet to report to the meet director upon arrival. THANK YOU in advance for your help in this area!!!
