ELIGIBILITY: All swimmers and teams must be registered with USS for 2001. New England swimmers may register with Mary Riddell, 20 Cleveland Circle, Needham, MA. 02192.

ENTRY INFORMATION: Entries must be submitted on a standard New England or computer-generated entry form. All entry forms must be typed or printed legibly and must contain each swimmer's age and USS number, event number and seed time. There will be no refunds for entries rejected due to improper entry. Teams are encouraged to send their entries using Hy-Tek Team Manager and Commlink files on a 3 1/2" HD diskette.

No swimmer may swim more than three (3) events per session, except for the Friday and Saturday evening sessions in which each swimmer will be limited to one (1) event. Please note that 8 and under swimmers can only swim the 50 Free, 100 Free, 50 Back, 50 Breast, 50 Fly and 200 IM events, and will not be allowed to swim any 9/10 events unless the swimmer ages up for these events prior to the 2001 Long Course 12 & Under Championships. Shawmut Aquatic Club reserves the right to waive the per-session event limits for Shawmut swimmers.

ENTRY FEES: Because this is a Connecticut Swimming sanctioned meet, we must adhere to their protocols. The entry fees are $3.00 per individual event, $4.00 for the 800 and 1650 freestyle. Checks must be made payable to Shawmut Aquatic Club. There is also a separate $1 per swimmer surcharge imposed by Connecticut Swimming, the check for which must also be made payable to Shawmut Aquatic Club.

Entries should be sent by certified mail, express mail or courier service. Please waive the signature requirements. Entries and any diskettes will be accepted no earlier than May 9, 2001 and must be received no later than Wednesday, June 9, 2001 at 5:00 PM and must be mailed, accompanied by the appropriate check, to Michael Fedak, 9 Kent Drive, Northborough, MA 01532 (508) 393-7169. Entries will be accepted on a first come-first served basis until the meet is full.

ENTRY TIMES: All entry times must be long course meter times or yard times converted into long course meter times using a conversion factor of 1.14. A "NT", or no time entry will not be accepted. Please provide a coach's time if a swimmer does not have an official time for a specific event.

AWARDS: Ribbons will be awarded to the top six finishers in each age group. Separate awards will be made to the 9\10 and 8 & Under age groups for all 10 & Under events. Separate awards will be made to 11/12, 13/14 and 15 & overs in any combined events.

FOOD: Shawmut Aquatic Club will operate a concession stand throughout the meet.

WARMUPS: US SWIMMING Warm-up procedures will be followed. A warm-up schedule will be included in all coach's packets.

BULLPEN: Coaches are instructed to pick up their coaching packets from the bullpen before the start of the meet. Please note that in order to coach a swimmer on deck, a coach must be a member of US Swimming and must visibly display their coaching membership cards. Coaches will receive a scratch sheet for each session in their coach's packet. Coaches must indicate scratches on these sheets and return them to the bullpen no later than 40 minutes before the beginning of each session. Heat sheets will be posted. Signs near the bullpen will indicate the event in the water as well as the event on deck. It is each swimmer's responsibility to be behind the block for their event. Please carefully review the remaining information contained in the coach's packet.

ADMISSIONS: As required by Connecticut Swimming, there will be no admission charge. Programs are $6.00 for the entire swim meet.
