YOUR ENTRIES
Contact
Lori Dickerson at 802/295-6268 or LoriSDickerson@aol.com if you need to make
any changes in your entry. We will try
to make any changes you request including adding events, switching events,
scratching events, or entering draft relay line-ups. At the meet, we will not allow any switching
of swimmers from one individual event to another. You will have an opportunity to provide relay
line-ups at the meet. If you send in any
changes, make sure to bring the verification codes for those revised times or
added events. Bring cash or a check to
pay for any added events.
SCRATCHES
Coaches MUST turn in
scratch sheets by
VERIFICATION PACKETS
Bring
verification packets to the meet but do not turn them in. We will find you if there is
a problem.
RELAYS
Coaches should either
inform Lori of relay names and order before the day of the meet or fill out
relay slips at the meet. Fill out a
relay slip if you choose to change your names or order of swimmers the day of
the meet. Feel free to send Lori draft
names ahead of time. We also need to
know the names of all relay only participants before the meet starts.
HEAT AND LANE ASSIGNMENTS
There
will be no bullpen. Heats and lane
assignments will be posted in the back pool and at the deep end of the main
pool at the end of warm-ups for each session.
Each team will be provided with a copy of the heat and lane assignments
for the session by the end of warm-ups.
If the copiers cooperate, parents will have the opportunity to purchase
heat and lane sheets.
Swimmers
are to report directly to their lane when their event is called. It is the responsibility of coaches to ensure
that swimmers are behind the blocks at the appropriate time.
AWARDS
There
will be awards ceremonies to present medals to the top eight finishers in the
individual events and the top three teams in the relay events. Swimmers in the top eight should report to
the ceremony area after the boys event of the
following sequence of events. (i.e.,
awards for events 3 and 4 will be presented after event 6). Ribbons and other remaining awards may be
gathered at the end of last session on Sunday.
One representative from the team must pick up the awards for the entire
team.
DECK ACCESS FOR ADULTS (Workers and Coaches only)
The
only adults allowed on deck are workers and USS registered coaches. All coaches must visibly wear their USS
registration card. Please pay particular
attention to ensure parents do not go down on deck during awards ceremonies.
SAFETY
All team and
individual warm-ups and warm-downs shall be under the direct supervision of the
respective swimmer's coach or individual designated by the referee. Any swimmer participating in the meet without
a US Swimming registered coach shall report to the referee before warm-ups
prior to each session. Diving will be
prohibited during warm-ups with the exception of the sprint lanes when they are
announced. There will be no diving in
the back pool.
Glass containers are
prohibited in the pool area, including the deck space and spectator
stands. Meet participants are requested
to remain in the pool, locker room or lobby area of Alumni Gymnasium. Other areas are strictly off limits.
